Guest guest
well done Hannah;o) Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already. Pleased with myself today Following on from the recent 'husbands' thread I thought I'd share my day. Dh and I are both fairly inept when in comes to DIY etc - he probably a bit more than me but today I managed to single handedly erect a 'trolley ride' (the kind that goes between two trees that you hang from - you know!) in the garden, managing to decipher the very complex looking instructions and sort out what bolt/washer/screw was for what. The kids absolutely loved it and it appears to be staying up much to my relief ) Then this evening I, again singlehandedly, managed to work out what was wrong with our washing machine and fix it. It has been playing up for days - not emptying properly, motor overheating by the end of the cycle so not spinning - smelling of burning. I guessed that the filter may be blocked - then managed to locate said filter and remove one sock, several hairbands, a large piece of mangled metal, about 50p in small change, some buttons and some unidentified gunge. It's now working perfectly ))))))))))) Hannah, 27 Mum to Bethany 7, Lawrence 5 1/2, Verity 3, Alfie 6 months Visit me on the web at :- http://hannahshome.20m.com
Guest guest
Hannah, Congratulations on the re-birth of your washing machine. I got the repair man out when mine went up the creek and much to my embarrassment he handed me a pair of my Knickers that had tied themselves up around the back of the drum. How red did I go! Have fixed it myself ever since. Kirsten.
