Guest guest
It was 600 mg. The Readers Digest article where I first read about it said it could take 2 to 3 months to work. However, my husband had relief in 2 to 3 days, and the Neurologist said he had other patients with almost immediate results. Make sure he takes them with food, because my husband says they can upset his stomach a little (like a lot of vitamins). He really is a believer in them. With the chemo nausea, he just could not tolerate them during chemo. Also, we have an acquantance that has been under Doctors care and is disabled from Neuropathy. We told her about the ALA, and she began taking it. She admits it helped, but it brought back her pain so severely that she quit. According to my husband's Neurologist, neuropathy first starts with the tingling, then progresses to pain, then the pain stops because the nerves are " dead " (my word) but you absolutely cannot feel your feet. I wonder if she could have stayed on it if she would have progressed past the pain??? When my husband began, he was at the severe pain stage.
