Guest guest
I had my only gold crown removed, and there was no amalgam underneath. There were a couple of tiny black spots which may or may not have had amalgam in them. My dentist also believes gold crowns become contaminated with mercury in a mouth with amalgam fillings. When I had trouble with chelation I couldn't be sure if it was because of stuff under the crowns, so I felt I had to have it removed. Guest guest
I just went to the dentist today and had a crown removed, I will write about what I learned what I have more time, but they told me the black spots were from decay, its common to have decay in the areas of the margins (where the crown attaches) on old crowns. PS.. by the way, mine had a ton of merc under that crown, more on that later.
