Guest guest
Hi Fay- It also has happened to our family with all four living adult children with hyperthyroid, graves; the oldest with ted's, (me with mild symptoms), the next was diagnosed schitzo at 26, and the youngest paranoid schitzo at 17. At 47, I'm first finding out about it but have probably lived with all my life. I talked about it with a childhood psych (my thinking is the onset and severity of the illness was in correlation with exposure to secondhand smoke from our mother). She said 25% of households still have one smoker. (Probably not the chain smoker our mother was) but still high odds. Weird part is- not a single doctor thought to look or test them (even though our mother's mother and father had hyperT) Keep rambling on - Sher
