If he said that it looked like they were still there, it could be that the dentist who did the extraction left some of the tooth behind. That is _serious_ bad news, and would almost definitely leave you with an infection. That's what they did to me, and the infection bored it's way up into the right sinus. I had an infection up there for 25, count 'em, 25 f@$#ing years. And the a%$&-hole knew it too. He said, " Be aware that it may ... but I don't even want you to worry about it ... " I mean, how double-speakey is that?? Do you know that was a professor at Harvard Dental School??? Bastards. Any other profanities I haven't used? Throw 'em in! Grr - Dave. ---------------- Posted by: " thedyes " threebabygirs@... threebabygirs@...?Subject=%20Re%3AO%2FT%20Re%3A%20Cavitations%3F%3F> thedyes http://profiles.yahoo.com/thedyes> Wed Mar 12, 2008 3:06 pm (PDT) I had an awful experience with wisdom teeth removal... dry socket.. and I had to go in to the oral surgeon everyday for two weeks to have it packed with some type of oil I believe. Extreme pain-worse than pregnancy. I have an appointment with the dentist on Wed to have two fillings replaced. I will have to discuss this with him again to make sure I understand what he sees on the x-ray. Who does cavitations? Dentists or oral surgeons?
