Guest guest
Hi Donna, I wanted to respond to your reply regarding MCS and the blood brain barrier. First, I wanted to let you know that I'm on Round 2 and I haven't had any of the kinds of reactions I had on my first round. I suspect I was actually reacting to something else other than the DMSA. Like you've said, it's hard to tell when you have MCS and food intolerance what exactly you might be reacting to. So don't be too worried that it will be a roller coaster ride based on what I said. Regarding the BBB, this is the theory of Dr. Pall who is at the University of Washington. You can easily do a google search and find his work summarized in an article or look on MCS America, which has his article to explain his theory. However, this is just still a theory, no on knows for certain what causes MCS. I find the sulfation problem more plausible in my case, and am now also wondering about fast phase one and slow phase too since reading the book, which adds the phase one element. Lots of stuff seems to go into my brain, but I don't know if it's due to BBB permeability or what! I'm pretty sure that chelation is the only way to get out of this mess, at least I feel it's worth a good try. Stay well, Lee
