Guest guest
I went back to the corneal specialist today in Chattanooga. The corneal disease that I have (Salzmann's Nodular Degenerative) has increased in the left eye and is beginning to interfer with my vision. It has also increased in the right eye, which I had that cornea scraped 7 years ago. ( I guess it doesn't last forever). To make a long story short, I have scar tissue on my corneas and the doc can scrape it off with a knife while I am awake. When the cornea is smoothed out, I can have the cataract taken out. In the meantime, I am using steroid eye drops to help smooth out the corneas. Toodles!
