I started taking a bugleweed/motherwort tincture while also on PTU. I didn't mention it to my endo, knowing full well she'd tell me not to. In about ten days, however, I started getting a worsening of my hyper symptoms. I looked into the herbal tincture further, and found out that it came with a brochure (which wasn't passed on to me where I bought it) stating that It was not compatible with standard anti-thyroid drugs. I don't have more info than that (this brand came from Herb Pharm) but it was enough to make me stop taking it while on an ATD. Hopefully your naturopath will be informed about this.
