Guest guest
At the risk of boring you all about my trip to America, is it cheaper to buy books over there than here? I get terrible feelings of insecurity if I don't have lots of reading matter with me but I'm not sure whether to take books from home (I've a stack of new ones to tempt me) bearing in mind the weight, or whether to get them in New York. I went mad in the States buying books - cheap paperbacks and stitching books. I think they are slightly cheaper - and you can get some that are only available over there - usually dish-the-dirt books by ex-Royal servants etc! I would save the packing and go shopping whilst there - you can always leave them behind if they are really cheap ones that you read whilst over there.
