Guest guest
Our Jerusalem holiday is almost over; tomorrow morning we fly back to London. It has been different from our usual trips ...fewer excursions, both due to the situation here, and the reluctance of our teens to want to go *anywhere*. It hasn't been as bad as we expected cos Yeshaya had friends and a play station to keep him occupied. It has, we hope, been a possible solution to his future, so a very valuable trip on that score alone. Today he has gone back to talking about 6th form again as a possible option, so he hasn't completely let go of that idea. But I would say he has at least 80% accepted that he is going to yeshivah. As I write this, he is speaking to Avigayil, my DD3, who lives near Tel Aviv, making sure she invites him plenty of times for Sabbath! It's sad to leave Jerusalem, but life in London beckons. Guest guest
So, it's not CP but they are releasing you without trying to find the so called other problem?????? Gee! Why I am not surprised?!?! I am so sorry you have to deal with all the garbage that most of the medical world seems so eager to dish out! I do hope you feel better. At least you will be in the comfort of your own home. Best wishes, Lanie going home Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know they are releasing me today. It would seem that this pain has nothing to do with my pancreas...since my A & L are not elevated. I still can't eat, still have diahrea (even though I have only had ice chps allday) and still have dry heaves. I am quite preturbed at this whole incident. If I'd have thought this was something I could have dealt with at home I would have stayed there. I'm sure you have all heard this before from the docs so you can't be too surprised. So for now I am waiting for some clothes and my ride home. I hope that this surgery really does take care of the pain because if one more " Health care PROFESSIONAL " tells me thi isn't CP... I'm going to pop them in the nose. I should be hom by 6 pm EST. So I'll get to my messages then, Thanks everyone for your concern and prayer. {{{HUGZ}}} __________________________________________________

Guest guest
- Glad you're getting home. It's times like these, when you wish you could pull out all of that info that says, " THE A&L DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ELEVATED!!! " It amazes me at how little " doctors " know. It makes me wonder how we get so much good info out here! Thank God for those docs who do care enough to go the extra step of finding out what this disease is really about! I truly hope you are feeling somewhat better. I am not feeling the best to day - the lurking pain in my back feels as though it's trying to rear its ugly head again. So, hopefully, tomorrow will be brighter for all of us! Pain meds and work just don't go so well together. It's amazing how we learn to function in a daze! My prayers are with you - and all in this group! in KY Hallock wrote:It would seem that this pain has nothing to do with my pancreas...since my A & L are not elevated. Guest guest
, The numbers do not have to be high for pancreatitis. Crackerjack hospitals all over the country! Reminds me of my last trip. Funny, my GI can come up with the details, later. Never there when you need them! Hope you at least got some medication to do their job for them. If we start boycotting these places we will be 100s of miles from home, then out of the country to Africa, waiting in a witchdoctors office. I think you need to file a complaint with the office and go to your notes you gave me this week. You are loaded there. You are still in 24 hour prayer, looks to be a rough night for you. > Hi Everyone, > Just wanted to let you know they are releasing me > today. > It would seem that this pain has nothing to do with my > pancreas...since my A & L are not elevated. Guest guest
, i'm so sorry the health care professional are being so stupid. Have any of them heard of chronic pancreatitis and that A& L levels can be completely normal event though you are having an attack? Time for them to do more reading! Urgh.
