Guest guest
Hi Robin, I guess you are probably beyond the problem now, and are on your way for the vitamin C IV? Couple of things. Read p 120 of AI, bottom right corner. " Your doctor or someone who has experienced it needs to explain gastroesophageal reflux to you repeatedly.... " The solution Andy gives is to sip on 1-2 tsp baking soda dissolved in water and sitting upright. I agree with others who have suggested stopping ALA and continuing with DMSA for this round. Others have mentioned esophogeal problems with ALA. On the next round I would use a lower dose, be sure to take it in a capsule, and take a sip of alka seltzer or baking soda with every dose. Andy says to reduce the chance of reflux do not eat any food 2-3 h before bedtime. If you do take food with night doses be sure to take little and something that would be quickly absorbed. The fatigue with the round indicates adrenal problems and would likely be less if you use a lower dose of ALA next time. It does take time for messages to appear in this group because the group is moderated. If you need an instant answer, type something like that in the subject line, maybe in caps or with stars to get people's attention. The volume of mail in this group has doubled in recent months, so lots of people aren't able to keep up with it all including me. TK used to answer almost every question (in the past) but he has little time for the group now. I never know when or if he looks at messages, all I know is that he has little time for the group, so we can't expect him to answer. I was having several non chelation related emergencies yesterday and ended up stressed out, adrenaline pumped, made it to about 8 pm, and then crashed. I am way behind in email (and way behind in real life too). Another way to get a fast answer is to post to autism mercury. Because of the numbers of people in that group, and the minimal moderation, things would go through faster. Parents would be quite familiar with chelation related problems. Hope everything is under control today. J > > I posted " round 10 having problems.. esophageal " and have received no > answers. > > I'm still in constant discomfort bordering on solid pain.
