As the others will or have told you Joanne == if there is colon cancer

in your family then by all means have that scope.

It really is no big deal.... My sister had polyps, years ago and my doc

kept pestering to get a scope, but at the time my hubby was

sick with cancer so I concentrated on him...Well finally last year Sept

I had the scope, and what surprise I had cancer. Well I

am through the chemo now and praying it is all gone, but will just

reserve judgement on that for awhile. Just get that scope, its a piece

of cake.

You will be glad you did do it... We have young folks with colon cancer

here in our group. Deb's Joe is 33, he just finished his chemo is doing

okay except for some lingering and annoying side effects. The problem

with young people is they wait too long and usually end up with Stage 3

OR 4

-- advanced stages. They pretty much wait until they can't poop

anymore... Even then docs might diagnose it as IBS, or Chron's disease

anything but

colon cancer and that is so sad and so unnecessary.... Get the

scope!!!!!! Hugs Jolene (Welcome to our group, best support group on

the net)
