Guest guest
Thank you Peggy for this post. I had gone to bed when this erupted but you said what I would have, only better. Hopefully now we can move on or rather move back to what we do best around here, supporting one another. I do NOT speak harshly to anyone here and just think I need to defend Bruce... Bruce is Bruce, one of our most valuable information go to guys. He does give so much to this board. When you joined us you were quite harsh but we accepted you as you are. But I now feel you have over stepped your bounds with this post. I am just hoping and praying this doesn't start a bunch of harsh feelings and posts. I think you should go back and read from the old posts to get a real flavor of this Air Family. Hopefully this is the end of this because as for me... I don't have time or the want to respond to this type of post EVER again. This is just not what we do. Love & Prayers, Peggy Florida, IPF/UIP 2004 "I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." Kathleen, Peggy and Sher, I was extremely offended by Bruce when I first joined this group. He wasn't even responding to me but it was how he responded to someone else in an insensitive way. I felt his response to Kathleen today had the same flavor. I am sorry Kathleen.. He lit into me with a vengeance when I responded on the board after asking Beth if I could speak to her about my feelings privately and she responded to assure me that anything I had feelings about could be openly addressed on board. Bruce has some good information but also has outburst should anyone respond to anything he says with less than 100% agreement. After I followed Beth's direction and he lit into me two more times she responded that he was not in the united nations...therefore lacked tact. I am sincere in my feelings and feel there has been a coolness to me over that incident. Some of these people have been here a long time and are used to each other; it can be hurtful to new comers. I sometimes think people respond in off color ways but I blow them off as whatever...I think you are extremely knowledgeable and what is happening in your family is tragic. I am truly sorry. I feel totally helpless to only say that I recognize your painful feelings and fears and can only offer my thoughts and prayers. Sometimes in our situations we do have quick tempers and the insensitive may see us as being unreasonable asses but of all people we should know, we should be the ones to understand that we are floating between denial, rage and acceptance.. .some days I am as pissed off as hell about everyone and everything, it can be about some particular thing or a build up of everything we are going through piling up. Some of us are going to respond to certain situations and ignore others...I guess after all that is how families are including this air family. So for me, you are very welcome to be here and it is obvious you have much knowledge to contribute. I am a person that others may say lacks humor but that is me. I'm sorry to cause such a commotion. If you can't make an ass of yourself at least once a day, what's the sense. Forgive me. We aren't all about doom and gloom here because obviously some of us need to discuss our derrieres and what position we were in to check our expiration stamps. I personally prefer bending over, crooking my head backwards and just looking up. Nah, just teasing. I haven't been able to do that for simply years!Seriously, welcome to our world. Sorry you had to be here but this is a good place to be amongst your peers. No foolin. Did I mention I'm in Texas and we have a tendency to tell tall tales out here? OH! The Rattlesnake Roundup is in Sweetwater this weekend if anybody is interested. Bruce? Wally? No? Oh well.Good news today. Saw pulmo guy and he had nothin but love for the way my chest x-ray looked. The PFT's were good and my lungs sounded clear and I made it thru the winter without a flareup. So yeah!!! I told him the rheumatologist has decided I have RA, Sjogren's,lupus or mixed connective. Definitely something of the connective tissue nature. He is treating me with Plaquenil and I do feel better. We're just going with that as long as it works. I don't care what disease he wants to call it. And Doc was pleased so we're all good out here in West Texas tonight. Except for the rattlesnake thing.
