Guest guest
DS2 ( 6and a half) has started using the word " sex " (picked up from school). What he really means is kissing and hugging - but he'll say things like " having sex " when he means two people having a snog. I've told him that it really isn't the right word to use - and that he should use the word kiss if that's what he means. It would make it better if I explained to him what sex really is - but don't know if he's ready for it. DS1 (8) has never brought the subject up - so it's a bit of shock coming from the younger one. I have a copy of " Mummy laid an egg " by Babette Cole - which explains it all in a great way, but I'm still not sure whether he should know at this age. Both of the boys know where babies grow and come out (I'm an ANT after all) - but have never asked how babies get there in the first place. Suggestions gratefully received.
