Adverse reactions to ALA ?

A few weeks ago I did a couple of rounds with 25 mg DMSA / 3 (!) mg

ALA. Before this I have

After this (I don't know if ALA is the cause) I developed very sore

fingertips (a couple of them dry and cracking; mentioned a few days

ago).

Also I have had burning sensations in my toes (on and off).

Then I did a round of DMSA only (33 mg). The soreness didn't disappear.

Now I have just finished a new round of DMSA / ALA (same dosage as

before). Fingertips are pretty much the same, but now my feet are

burning,

especially at night. Also, a lot of muscles feel very sore. If I apply

pressure to them it is like the pain last a lot longer than usual.

And this is only 3 mg of ALA (every 3 hours). It feels like my nervous

system is on 'red alert'.

Is this likely to be caused by ALA, or is it something else ?
