Timing of Amalgam removal and getting a hair test?

I'm wondering about the timeing of getting a hair test after having

amalgams removed. Is this going to be a false positive?

I had 3 amalgams removed and replaced with composities on October

15th. I still have 8 remaining that I plan to have removed and

replaced in 3 more sessions if my Dentist will do it. But I'm

wondering if getting a hair test done about 3 weeks after having

amalgams removed will interfere with test and give me a false

positive? I just ordered the test but haven't recieved the kit yet.

Do I need to wait and if so for how long? I also received a hair cut

around that time so my hair is still pretty short in the area the

suggest to get samples from. I want to get tested, but I want to do it

right.

Thanks,

Mike

False positives are extremely unlikely. False negatives are not

uncommon.

If a hair test shows a mercury problem right after amalgam removal,

you also had the problem before removal and you will also have it

several months from now.

You need one inch of hair. Shouldn't take too long to get it to

that length if it's not already.
