Guest guest
hi just returned from seeing my pulmododette who tells me she has received a letter telling her that the newcastle transplant team are arranging for me to have the three day in-patient transplant evaluation. i am surprised as he didnt say anything like that to me. i thought i wouldn't see him for 3 or 6 months depending on my deterioration. for all i know it might take 3/6 months to get me to top of list. anyhoo, i'm just glad that i'm in the transplant works as here in the uk we cant move from area to area - we have to take what we get. btw, she had a very hunky trainee doctor who was actually very warm and lovely rather egotistic like most of them. i dont normally take much notice of figures but she said my diffusion was 30something but now its 24. does that mean anything to anyone. i got to see my lungs on the xray and we discussed another ct. i said didnt think it worth the bother as 'nothing would change' and evaluation is coming up. i will see her again in 2months where we will be doing the pfts again... oh, and she has emphasised to wear my o2 at rest too. may uip 0606 glasgow, scotland 49yrs
