Guest guest
I've been calling my soon-to-be-ex-endo's nurse to get some PTU from them ever since I had my reaction to Tap last week, only she doesn't return my calls. I finally decided to physically go down there and ask for the nurse. They told me that I could fill out a " request for samples and prescriptions " form and leave her a message, but that she was seeing patients and that she'd call me after hours and give me her undivided attention. She didn't, of course. So I called the office at 6 because I felt I had waited long enough, and the answering service paged his associate, a doctor Rubin, who DID call me at 7:00 pm. He said he would not give or prescribe PTU, that if I had such a reaction to the Tapazole, that I should NOT keep taking it, to see my usual endo as soon as possible, and that he recommends RAI due to the contraindications of the meds. So this clown is as bad as the first. Jees, so I know I'm going to my insurance to file a complaint about the first quack not returning calls on 2 occasions, one of them an emergency. I feel that they're eliminating my options. Isn't it up to me to decide if I'm willing to try the PTU?
