There is a also a lot of unpublished experience (here and other

groups) that is pretty compelling demonstration that ALA chelates

and that it causes redistribution when not used properly.

My ND seemed pretty uninterested or dismissive of anything I offered

that I found compelling, including my own experience. However, she

did accept me doing what I wanted.

Are there any studies/articles on the subject?

------------The Rooney2007 paper in the Files section.

My personal limited experience with ALA tells me it's a chelator and must be

used properly, and the numerous personal reports here, are enough to convince

me. I have found that practitioners set in their ways do not want to be

" educated " , especially by patients, so you may be in a losing battle, or find

yourself falling on deaf ears. It is probably worth a try, in case yours is

more open-minded, but don't be surprised if you find yourself talking to a wall.

And just because your ND doesn't believe it, it doesn't change the chemical

properties of ALA and how it works, so please use it

appropriately.----------Jackie

Thanks, Mark
