Guest guest
Valerian has always worked well for me when I needed a good night sleep. And I only take a half dose since I am very sensitive. Most clinical studies show that valerian needs a couple weeks to a month to show its sleep benefits, but for me it works the same night. I do not take it regularly. Once in a while. While it helped most people in clinical studies as well as myself, it is obvious that mileage varies because there were people in the studies that were not helped by it, and I have seen numerous people at forums that got no benefit. Maybe they didn't take it long enough or at a high enough dose. In any case, nothing works for everyone. But for insomnia issues valerian seems like a good place to start. Other companion herbs that go well with it are Passionflower and/or Lemon Balm and/or Skullcap. > > Thanks to all, those that replied about sleep problems. > After having temazepam off the doc,i have tried the herbal remedy > valerian (I may have seen it mentioned in AL but I can't remember where) > In the UK there is a company called Lane's, who do a valerian plus > other herbs for sleep and anxiety.
