Guest guest Posted March 19, 2009 Report Share Posted March 19, 2009 Hello to all...I have just spent 3 days in the hospital with a terribly bad case of bronchitis!!!! It hit out of nowhere!!! I was running 101.4 temperature and my normal is 96! My ribs were killing me and I was SOB even on 4 lpm .I made Mike call 911 early Tuesday morning and have just settled in at home now. They've got me on 60mg of Prednisone after being on 80 in the hospital ( after getting down to 10mg).I'm on Zithromyicien because the Levaquin did not suit my stomach even IV...I need to use the nebulizer( with Duo-neb) after not using it for 3 years. I'm pooped and wired and my ribs ache from the coughing. I at least had a nice roomy who also had Bronchitis but she had it on top of Asthma. You should of heard the coughing duet !!! I need to be on the 60 for 4 days , then 50 for 4 days and the 40...so forth and so on.At that point I'll see the local pulmondude ( not the one at Penn) but he's been consulted.Hopefully I'll be able to taper down to 10 after that. As it is, reading is already getting harder, my moodiness has returned and Mike has already left to see his buddy for a few moments! I can't blame, I already almost hit him with my Helios on the way home!
