Gastroscopy & some OT

Hi Everyone,

I had a gastroscopy on Friday and they found some inflammation, a biopsy was

done and now I'm waiting for the results (I hate waiting). When the nurse

was explaining the findings and why they had done the biopsy Coeliacs

Disease was mentioned.....!!!!

I'm not sure if I want the test to be positive or not, it would rule out

Chiari as a cause of my problems (I would still have the malformation but it

may be asymptomatic), going on the gluten free diet could help with the

Graves disease (go into permanent remission), but the thought of changing my

diet yet again is a bit depressing (I've been eating a diabetic style diet

to control fluctuations in blood glucose).

I know Coeliacs has been discussed here recently but I totally ignored all

the messages about it because I never imagined it could possibly be relevant

to me....

(husband) went out and bought a new computer while I was at the

hospital so now I'm trying to get to grips with Windows xp and transferring

all my files etc from the old computer plus trying to arrange to get

connected to broadband and do Christmas shopping......there aren't enough

hours in the day at the moment.

Graves Disease - in remission since September 02

Chiari Malformation

Re-active hypoglycaemia or is it Coeliacs Disease ?

(waiting impatiently for her latest thyroid results and now the biopsy

results)
