Guest guest Posted August 13, 2001 Report Share Posted August 13, 2001 DH (age 46) swam for 1.5 miles across a (bl**dy freezing , choppy loch last week for nothing more than the challenge! It took him one and a half hours and he is used to sustained swimming! He came in 7th out of 13 starters but he was the oldest by far. Next year, should he be stupid enough to repeat it, guess which charity he'll be supporting? When he came out of the water , his face was dark blue and he couldn't walk or talk properly.
