folfox side effects- does this sound familiar?

My sister in law Mehpare had a rough night, 2 days after finishing

round 4 with folfox, suffering from severe rectum pain caused by

constipation. bouts of vomiting she insists were pain induced , were

taken under control by zofran IV.

an enema only relieved her 6 hours later ,and thankfully she is now

resting - enjoying the diarreah !

sorry about all the gory details, but I would really like to know if

anyone else has experienced this severe rectum pain and what if

anything has helped ( she does take oxycodone ( sp?) which helps but

increases constipation apparently )

talking to doctors is one thing, but I find there is more information

and caring out here...

dxd with Stage 4 ccr

with multiple liver mets in Feb 2005.

6 weeks of radition and 5fu

Underwent colon and liver resection in june .

finished 4th of Folfox

with tolerable side effects.
