New Lab---dosage questions---again......

Hello to all:

I have not posted in a while though I have been reading. I figured

I'd let the even " newer newbies " receive the benefit of your

attention and wisdom. Although ... I did quite enjoy the hilarious

posts that ensued the " Next time, I'm looking into a spy shop for a

mini-recorder to take to the Endo " post. That was great fun.

I went to my first official Endo visit on Nov. 6. I don't think he

was quite prepared for my " heightened state of RAI refusal---(now

Trademarked...Hee!) " but he nevertheless indulged me. He even looked

up the code (yes, you read right ... as in he normally doesn't

request these tests) for the TSI Elaine suggested and the FT3.

I'd like to thank Terry and Granny especially so for their excellent

suggestion in reducing my dose of Meth. until I saw the Endo on Nov.

6. And thank you Granny for suggesting 5mg every 12 hours to

evenly dose. I did tell him I took it upon my self to reduce 5mg..

(though not to worry...I did not reveal names or this BB.) He

reduced my Meth. again to 5mg 1x day...(I didn't have the heart to

tell him I would continue with Granny's suggestion of 1/2 5mg every

12 hours.)

Well...the levels are still dropping precipitously. From 7th Nov to

18th November when blood was drawn on 5mg of Meth. per day are:

T-4 (Thyroxine), Total 3.1 4.5-12.5

TSH W/Reflex to FT4 0.10 0.40-5.50

T3, Free 186 230 -420

I am tired, of late. He suggested stopping Meth. for 3 days...and

then take 5mg every other day. Granny? Elaine? or any of the other

wise ones on here...

He also said I didn't bring in my " bubbly personality as it was very

entertaining last time and I seemed more subdued. " So, I'm happy he

is, at least, receptive to people not wanting RAI.

As usual...any suggestions are greatly appreciated and thanks to all

of you...
