Vitamin C bowel tolerance

Since I am cold, I have tried to add more vitamin C to my supplements

to discover my bowel tolerance. It seems I can take 30+gr of ascorbic

acid without any apparent problem. So I don't know yet what is my

bowel tolerance!

I wonder to what extent it is useful to do this. I really feel no

better taking 30gr of vit. C than using my usual 13,5gr.

Is it worth to take such large doses or even to try to take more? If

one does not have gut problems, does this mean that something is

actually absorbed?

Thank you in advance,
