I am real curious though, exactly how does ALA work. I'm confused on that. Andy says basically it does not magically grab mercury and escort it out of the brain, but that it somehow facilitates mercury to cross the brain barrier. Ok. Well, if I understand things correctly, mercury is not floating around in the brain like it is trapped and can't get out. No, it is embedded deep in tissues and just sitting there. So what exactly is going to grab it from its roots and pull it out? If ALA doesn't actually grab it, then how is the mercury going to leave its home and be escorted to the brain barrier?
