Guest guest
Maca was great for a short trial, ended feeling bad, but I cannot say for sure it was Maca or something else. Seems like every few days I just have a severe slump maybe due to something I ate or some biological thing mercury/lead do or something. In psychiatry they would call it double depression...a dip into depression from an ongoing dysthymia. In chronic fatigue symdrome they would call it a flare up. In the hormonal arena it would be a fluctuating cycle thing. Maybe it's just the moon. Who knows. Back to Maca. First day...nice smooth energy, not jittery energy; brightened mood, not nearly as depressed as usual; more social, not so quiet and withdrawn; felt warm instead cold. After 3 days people who know me and who shook my hand said my hands felt warm and that they were always cold before. After 3 days though I was feeling blah, depressed, a bit irritable, and just out of sorts. Like I said, I don't know if it was Maca or not. But I do know for sure, Maca has some amazing potential in the hormonal/adrenal/thyroid/brain axis. At the time I was taking the raw powder. Since then I have tried tablets. Even though the tablets were from a top quality company and the herb was top stuff, somehow it was different and inferior to the raw powder to where it was actually a bad herb instead of a good one. As a sidenote, even though my normally cold hands were quite warm with Maca, my temperature was still hovering around its usual 97.8- 98.0 degrees. Very few supplements that I've tried before will I try again. But Maca is high on my list to try again. High quality powder only. For me, 1/4 teaspoon was nice. > > > <<< >>>> > > > Of all the adrenal treatments, the only one I have found beneficial > > is miniscule doses of Maca root.
