More on mom

Well, this morning my mom was horrible confused she was calling for my father (

who was holding her hand ) and when the nurse asked who was holding her hand she

pulled away like she didnt recognize him , She was also calling for my Uncle

Jack , who lives in Alabama and who is dads brother , I have no idea why.

They are doing a CT scan on her head tonight , to see if we can figure out whats

what.

Although late this morning my Joe came up and she recognized him, and asked

where the kids were (good ole grandma worried about the kids)

She is STILL having EXTREME diarrhea , they have a potty right next to her bed ,

and most the time she still has accidents trying to get out of bed ( she needs

our assistance) its absolutely heartbreaking , she said tonight that she thinks

she is dying , I of course told her no way your to stubborn , but I swear to God

not I , Joe , nor my husband know if she is gonna make it out of the hospital

she is THAT sick.

The oncologist came by and she told him that she isnt doing no more chemo and he

said thats fine , he also said its EXTREMELY rare for someone to be this sick on

the chemo she is on ( carboplatin, taxol for lung cancer ) he said he does not

know why she is still having extreme diarrhea , why her stomach hurts ,and asked

if she ever had history of liver disease , no she hasnt.

I am SERIOUSLY concerned that the cancer has spread , do you get diarrhea from

liver disease? hell i dont know , me and dad are going to start taking shifts up

at the hospital , although neither of us can do the night shift ( Joe works

nights I have to be here with the kids ) and dad is OLD hell I just realized he

is almost 80yrs old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those that have replied to my posts please know that I Thank you from the

bottom of my heart and truly appreciate it them,

For those who have posted with their own worries, PLEASE know that I hold you in

our prayers , I just cant seem to find the strength to reply forgive me

open wound from infection until Jan 2005

Ileostomy reversal Dec 7th 2004

Chemo regiment begun Jan 2005

5fu/levorican/Oxaplatin/ Avastin added Feb 14 2005 (Happy Valentines

Calcium Magnesium added for the Tingles Feb 28 2005

Ct Scan done March 23rd 2005 , 16 millimeter cyst like object on liver found

April 1 2005 PET scan done awaiting results

April 11 PET SCAN SHOWS

NED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 9 Plateletts are low 75,000
