Fertility and breast feeding

Sorry to go on about this again, but I want to get pregnant asap and DS1 is

only 4 mths old. I am breastfeeding, but only 3 times a day, as he is eating

three meals a day now (he is nearly 5 mths).

My periods havent returned yet, and I am paranoid that I wont be able to

conceive (I was a bit shocked that I managed the first time round...not sure

why as I had only been trying for a few months!).

Someone once told me that once you have had a baby, your body sort of gears

itself up to the 'mummy' mode, and that it is easier to get pregnant shortly

after giving birth (like the first year, not weeks). Does anyone else know

if this is true? and how can I get my cycle back in order?

Cheers,

Mum to Rohan (4 mths)
