Guest guest
We brought my Mom home from the nursing home yesterday but she's having a rough time. We aren't getting answers or help about her constipation--it'll be 2 weeks on Thursday since she went to the bathroom. She's been trying everything--enemas, pills, etc. Oncologist hasn't helped much either although I think I'm going to try calling him again. She doesn't really eat much but there still has to be something in there and she's having a lot of pain. She does not want to go to the emergency room because they put her through a lot the last time. Does anyone know what's involved if they have to go in manually to get this out? Do they put you to sleep? is it painful? I hope it isn't a blockage because we were told she could not tolerate another surgery. I feel so helpless and don't know how to help her. Can they just do an x-ray to see what's going on in there? She wouldn't be able to do a ct scan since you have to drink all that liquid--she can't keep much down. The day before she left the nursing home a horrible minister came into her room and when she woke up he was looking at her with a scary look on his face. This guy said some terrible things to her like you are dying--do you believe this crap?? He was saying he didn't want her to leave the nursing home and he thought she should stay there. This guy really got to her and her whole attitude changed. Boy, I really hate that place! Thanks for your help. Diane
