You should have come Ruthie! It can't take that long to get home from

Waterloo can it and there were loads of people from these lists there.

Anyway, I'm sure we'll all get to meet you one of these days!

Who is Rick Porter? Dishy obstetrician from Bath who actually

believes in women centred care and has really high homebirth rates in

his area. A very good speaker - one of things I always find at

conferences is that some people are obviously brilliant in their field

but believe that public speaking involves reading off a load of

statistics from slides. Very boring. Rick was good, as was Sheila

Kitzinger and Yvette , oh and Bernadette Matus yesterday was a

scream- lovely bra!!!

As for freebies, well I came back loaded with posters, postcards, new

membership leaflets, bf line stickers, balloons, you name it! Plus all

the publicity gumph from the various stands. Oh and I did spend money

too - new Baby Milk Action tshirt, new NCT Guide to Labour booklet,

books, half the Region 4 tombola stall as I had so many goes while

helping out!!!

Also got to meet up with a bevy of beautiful women and had a lovely

night out AND a trip on the London Eye.

Am totally shattered today and would love to spend it just pootering

but as its my small boys 6th birthday party later and we are off to

Spain on Thursday I had better make this my last post for a while )
