Guest guest
We actually got back yesterday so in true postcard style this weeks arrives home after I do!!! > Dear Granny and Grandad, > We're having a lovely time in Spain. The journey over here was really > good fun although Mummy and Daddy did have a bit of an argument over > which way up the map should be and so it was a bit quiet in the car > because they weren't speaking to each other. > The mobile home is lovely. Mummy and Daddy have their own bedroom and > we are all sharing one which means we can have midnight feasts and > dawn pillow fights. Mummy keeps telling Daddy that we can't possibly > keep this up and he will get a lie-in soon. He has tried putting > blackout curtains over the windows so we don't get up too early but > Kieran has worked out how to open these so we wake up when the sun > does. > If Mummy and Daddy didn't spend all evening drinking wine and went to > bed at a sensible time then they wouldn't be so tired in the mornings > would they? After all its our holiday and they are only here to make > sure we are happy. > Daddy is being very mean. He keeps telling us that he's not made of > money and we are not allowed more than one ice cream a day. Mummy won > 't let Emma buy the big stuffed donkey with the straw hat that we > think is really cool and would be a lovely thing to bring home as a > sewveneer. She says its nearly as tasteless as that bowl you gave her > when you came home from holidays last time but we're not allowed to > tell you that. > We are getting very good with our Spanish. Mummy lets us go and buy > the bread every morning with our potatoes (that's Spanish money) so > long as we all stay together and hurry back. > Actually, it's a bit confusing cos Daddy says to take the long way > round and take as long as we like so he can try to go back to sleep. > But we're sure he's joking, how can anyone want to sleep on holiday? > The best part about where we are staying is the enormous swimming > pool. There are loads of places to hide so we take it in turns to > disappear. This makes sure that Mummy and Daddy can't just lie around > being boring and have to run around the pool making sure we are not > drownded at the bottom. > When we get bored with that game, Carys takes her clothes off and > throws them into the deep end and Mummy has to dive in for them. This > is good fun too. > The food here is really awful. Kieran is upset because they don't > have peanut butter and proper sausages. Mummy seems to have forgotten > that we don't like food and keeps giving us this thing called > Pie-Ella. She keeps telling us that the Mediterranean Diet is really > healthy and we will all live to be a hundred. Daddy says you don't > actually live longer, it just feels like it. > Anyway, we've found a way to cope with Pie-Ella. We all leave the > yukky fishy bits, Emma eats the rice, Kieran eats the chicken and > Carys flicks the peas around. > Sometimes Daddy does barbecuing and that's worse because he always > takes ages to get the barbecue going and then he burns the sausages > and pretends that they are a new type of cooking called chargrilled. > Tonight Mummy and Daddy are going out for dinner and we have Becky the > courier coming to babysit. We like Becky, she tells us lots of ghost > stories and then we have nightmares and Mummy has to get up and look > after us and then she tells Daddy off because he doesn't get up and > its her holiday too. > Still, she looks very happy in her new dress - I don't think we'll > tell her that she's just sat on some peas that Carys flicked onto the > chair earlier. Daddy is being all kissy with her and we've just > heard him telling her to get ready for some passion later. This sounds > like another midnight feast so we've set the travel alarm. > Well, we must go now, Granny and Grandad. We wish you were here but > Mummy says over her dead body. Lots of love, from Emma, Kieran and > Carys. > > > Lesley > ANT, tr BFC, Mother, Wife, Friend, Mender of Broken Hearts, > Keeper of Secrets, Chauffeur, Cook, Maid, Writer. Overweight, Over > thirty, Over here in Worthing.. > " Believing Oneself to be perfect is often the sign of a delusional > mind!
