Guest guest
I've put the kids down for the local state school, but also for a private school (each) - keep you options open etc. For DS we were told at the private school that we were far too late, as I'd waited until he was 8 months (!) to ring (plus he's born very late in the school year). The school/nursery start at 3 and I think that is very young, so I was wondering if I can ask for him to put on the waiting list for the following year instead. (He's born 30 August, so if we delay him he'll only be two days older than whoever is born on the 1 September anyway). Do you think they'll be positive to this, or just think we're desperate to get him in? Isn't there a rule that waiting until you are a little bit older should be allowed (or is that just if you wait and then enter at a higher level). Has anyone done this?
