I knew my DH on IRC and we would ‘flirt’ there for a couple

of years, but then, I flirted a lot on IRC in those days

We were both dating other people, (whom we had met through

IRC as well. Are we sad or what ?) and when those

relationships fell apart (I had lived with the guy for a

few months, then he finished his degree and moved away and

all those promises of long-distance love fell apart.

Anyway...), DH and I ended up emailing and talking on the

phone a lot.

Then he sent me a card FedEx from France (to Texas) for my

birthday. After that, it was all down hill, and we finally

met a few of months later We lived in the same city for

a few months, then long distance again, but both of us

really did want to stay together and I ended up moving to

France to marry him.

So the short answer is we ‘knew’ each other on the Net for

about 2 years, I think.

I think it was who also met her DH through the Net.

P.s. and , I’d like to say that I think that your DH

reading your email is a complete invasion of your privacy.

If he wants to read the messages from this group, he needs

to subscribe himself and be an active member. If he’s

worried about your relationship with this other guy to the

point where he will read your email, the two of you need to

talk that out, with or without a counsellor. Maybe since

the two of you met on the internet, he figures you could go

off and do it again with someone else? Just my 2p...
