Guest guest Posted December 27, 2002 Report Share Posted December 27, 2002 I am now on the last few pills of my effective PTU, and I only have outdated or stale or somehow otherwise ineffective tablets to last me this weekend. I can't get the company that makes it to get me new stuff in time, though they had promised to. I have 3 bottles of PTU that ,though they expire ostensibly in Sept. 2003, are completely ineffective. I have one bottle, a few of which are left, that works. It's weird, but I think that when this drug is improperly stored, it completely loses its effectiveness. Anyway, I am sure everyone is tired of my Canada/PTU rant. The company responsible has promised to get me a new lot, and they had better by Monday. I can tell right away , within about 20 minutes, if the pill is going to work. I am trying very hard to keep calm and deal with the obtuse pharmaceutical people who don't really understand the drug they are distributing. Wish me luck at locating some effective drug.
