Guest guest
Hi Sher, How are you feeling? I've read that you've been having a rough go of late. Hope you are feeling much better. I've been doing well. My disease is pretty stable. Still able to work and walk and do what I want to do. I'm blessed. Sure, I get a bit tired here and there but for the most part I feel pretty good. We've been pretty busy here at the Foundation. I was at a local fundraiser on Sunday which was awesome. It was the second annual Salabration. The family even created a website: www.salabration.com. This man Sal was remarkable and inspiring and he found out a couple of days before he died that he had pulmonary fibrosis and the family did research on the disease and found that there was little known and no treatment or cure and they rallied the troops. Their first event was wonderful too and truly a family event. A very cool thing happened on Sunday, I was talking to a man who has ipf from asbestosis and he was waiting for a lung transplant for over a year. He had had two dry runs in the past. Well, apparently, he got the call a couple of hours after he left the Salabration. I haven't heard how things went, but I'm hoping no news is good news. Raising awareness and the much needed research money is so important. We sincerely hope that the cure will be found so that patients and their families don't have to suffer anymore.
