Guest guest
was planning a pub theme.. In my old house the downstairs loo was tucked under the stairs and had been created by the previous house owners who were a group of lads with limited building skills who had bought the property to do up and sell on at a profit (but ran out of money so I got it cheap). It was opposite a pub and Off Licence, needless to say the space under the floorboards was filled with lots of empty beer cans, and this was reflected in the shape of the downstairs loo: none of the walls was square to the others , it was a peculiar shape, and the plaster sloped too. We found it a bit dis-orientating as this had obviously been created under the influence of alcohol, and it also meant that you couldn't screw a mirror, tile behind the sink or put up anything in there without it looking to being on an angle despite a spirit level showing it was absolutely horizontal. So we simply plonked all the tiles, mirror, loo roll holder, lampshade etc etc on at bizzare angles - and everyone, particularly sozzled party goers, thought it was brilliant!
