Guest guest
DH is an emergency coxswain/mechanic ...... Not as exciting as it sounds but is does mean that if for some reason the coxswain & mechanic or the 2nd's cannot make a 'shout' for some reason Dh can take the boat out. He is mainly responsible for navigation and looking after the Hitech equipment they have nowadays. We have two female crew members and hopefully a third very soon. All stations try to have girls on the crew. Sadly I can never be on the boat I'm as blind as a bat and get seasick in a bath!!! DD1 intends to be the cox one day!! She has a higher rank than her daddy through 'Storm Force'. I have some brilliant photos of Sennen launching, mind you I lots of them of the boats bottom!!! Penlee sends shudders down my spine. I remember the radio repeating the original report some years ago and I was only half awake and suddenly being very awake and very frightened.
