Guest guest
Pink Joyce, I too have heard that since there are no nerve endings on the lungs, they can't be the cause of pain. However, Dr. Keyland (lol) thinks that because we use a different set of muscles to breathe around the lungs, those muscles can become sore and do cause back aches at least. It isn't serious, but I still have some chest pain from my transplant when I cough or sneeze. Fortunately, I do little coughing these days. The back pain from the incision seems to go in cycles, and hasn't been hurting me so much here lately. Tomorrow is my 11-month anniversary!! I'm so sorry to hear about Sherry. She had e-mailed me with questions about transplant and did her research. I always hate to lose one of our air family. Everyone is valuable and important. PF is a big bully of a disease.
