Guest guest
Hi Robin Aha!! This is reassuring! I myself and someone else I know of have had constant metal mouth for about six months. My amalgams were removed 18 months ago, and I started chelating in earnest 7 months ago. After waxing and waning for a few months, the metal mouth arrived permanently about 4 months ago. It gets better on round, worse off. I know that the other person has had a panoramic X-ray to check for residual amalgam - there was none. I have had two, very thorough dentists remove my fillings and place composites, and I do not believe they left any amalgam. All crowns were treated. For myself, the metal taste has coincided with slowly feeling better. For me, there are a couple of possible scenarios: I had retention toxicity due to the high level of mercury in my body. Over time after amalgam removal, the damn slowly unblocked and my body is now shifting the mercury. Chelation has been likened to stirring up a muddy pond. So dragging the mercury out is actually raising the amount of mercury swishing around in my body, causing the metal taste. My body is now so sensitive to this stuff that it reacts to the slightest amount wandering around. It's probably a bit of all of the above. These are my theories anyway. I am pretty ure that there is no amalgam left. I have a small question mark over my new fillings, but these were tested prior to placement. I know that other mineral deficiencies or excesses can cause metallic taste, so I have just ordered another hair analysis for further clues. Though it is still unpleasant, and spoils the taste of food, my metal mouth seems to be getting slightly better. No such a strong taste, not such burning saliva. Best of all after a round. Nice to know we're not totally alone!... Guest guest
---Yes it probably is still chelating- see the file section for this group. There is info about Saunas. Andy supports saunas as long as they are not the infra red kind. Also do a search on sauna in this group and there is more info. -------- Colette> > i was wondering if you thought the sauna is continuing to chelate metals. i > sure sweat a lot in there! or? > > thanks, ~robin > > >
