Guest guest
Association structure and management have changed greatly in the past 25 years. Of all of the comments, I've not seen one single post that calls for the elimination, alteration or advancement of a single issue. Instead, it appears there's a lot of " old guy " belly-bucking to determine who sits atop the dung heap to nowhere. What a great example for our EMS newcomers. Association construction of the '80's is a broken template. Most successful associations have followed the model of assembling expert focus groups and select committees to accomplish specific tasks - in a timely manner - rather than appoint standing committees (aka, GETAC). But, above all, there needs to be a reason for the association to exist - beyond the social need to establish a fraternal EMS " club.
