Flight Nurse Dies in a two-vehicle collision

A le man died early Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle collision between

the Upshur and Camp counties line.

McGregor, 41, was traveling northbound on U.S. 271 around 6:30 a.m.,

near Opossum Road, in a pickup when he drifted into southbound traffic and

collided with a tractor trailor. According to Upshur County Department of

Public Safety Trooper Love, officials suspect McGregor fell asleep

at the wheel.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Upshur County Justice of the Peace

Lyle Potter. McGregor was a flight nurse for East Texas Medical Center in

Mount Pleasant.
