Guest guest
The NREMT Exam is based on the analysis of practice. I think the short answer is if your using current materials then you're good to go. Louis N. Molino, Sr. CET FF/NREMT/FSI/EMSI Training Program Manager Fire & Safety Specialists, Inc. Guest guest
The only other advice I'd have is that some Students do well if they read chapters from other books on the topics they are having issues with. The caveat is that sometimes that will only confuse them more. It's all about the Students learning style. Of course some Students are just dense and aren't cut out for EMS. Louis N. Be prepared for the " eating our young " haters to turn on you. I would be interested in hearing the clues that others have identified that lead you to write someone off as " not cut out for EMS " . They certainly exist. My favourite is the student who constantly interrupts the instructor with, " Do we have to know this for the test? Guest guest
I don't think acknowledging reality is " eating our young. " I wish more people acknowledged that people aren't cut out for some responsibilities. This " leave no child left behind " crap that is permeating our society (at levels well beyond primary education) is killing us. Austin > On Thursday, January 27, 2011 22:26, " Louis N. Be prepared for the " eating our young " haters to turn on you. Let them. It's a statement of fact no different than how some want to be lawyers aren't right for that profession and just as as some want to be priests aren't right for the priesthood. While I am no PC Poster Boy and in fact think PC or rather being too PC hurts not only the society and community it hurts the individual it does not change reality. I wanted to play pro baseball as a 6 year old. I surly could have if only for my inability to run, hit, or catch. Little league taught me it was ok to fail and I moved on to firefighting. > I would be interested in hearing the clues that others have identified that lead you to write someone off as " not cut out for EMS " . They certainly exist. Well I don't like to write people off but I agree there are clues. > My favourite is the student who constantly interrupts the instructor with, " Do we have to know this for the test? " Too easy ... it's on my test and you must pass mine to get to take the Exam. That generally gets the message across. My favorite was " what right do you have to require an 80 average? The State only requires a 70. To that I said it's my class not the States. > > Rob > > > > ------------------------------------ > >
