Hi Sharon,

We are both doing good. Our little kitten is growing pretty fast. He is so much fun to watch when he plays and he loves to snuggle.

My 91 yr old Aunt I have mentioned has a lump in her breast that has grown to 2 1/2 by 3 inches and has inverted her nipple. She doesn;t want to do anything at her age. I just pray she doesn't suffer. She could live for years with this but that isn't likely. Only God knows how much time we have.

Hugs

Teaching Robbin to be a barista lol...he just made me a cuppa Joe and did very well!

The weather here is Glorious!!!

Windows open most of the day, even having to turn the *heat* on for a little in the mornings! Well, not for me, for Robbin. He got up this morning, it was 65* in here, he turned on the heat and put on a sweater, I padded my nekkid hiney to the bathroom, perfectly comfortable...but that's MS for ya, never know when I am cold, just when I am hot.

Robbin's 14th Birthday is next Sat (the 29th), we will, apparently, be having a get-together at Elaine's house, or so I was informed. When I asked should I make a cake I was told nope, Granny has been having fun designing one for him lol...so I guess it's out of my hands and I get the day odd. I'll probably make some brownies or something anyway, since I already bought the mix. Bought cake mix too (I am not as talented as you are Sharon, and must make mine from a mix) so I'll save that for another day. Rob's birthday is next month, maybe I'll make it then, since it is, appropriately, devil's food

Speaking of the devil, he seems happy with his latest victim (well, he always is at first, till the bloom comes off the rose) problem is, he is fixin' to make a truly boneheaded move, they are thinking of buying a house. Yeah. Like THAT's gonna work. For one thing, he doesn't have the $ or the credit, so he's going to use Elaine's and compromise HER credit instead. Nice. Now, Rob is a Sag, and as such the Centaur is his astrological critter. As an equine, he likes to roam and not be corralled. So, here is what I just wrote to him, titled Just wondering:

*Why* the mighty Centaur, who values his freedom to roam over all else, has suddenly agreed to be tethered into a stall? What will happen when the wanderlust strikes again? What about CaroLee (not sure how she spells it) and her family? Won't she miss them and they her? What if she decides to go back and you get stuck with the whole shebang? You haven't known each other that long...Why not just rent for the season and not tie yourself and your resources (and your Mom's? I know you can't afford this on your own) to this piece of land? This is totally unlike you, Rob, and has me worried about you.

The last was meant to disarm, BTW. She, BTW, is a grandmother, and her family's take on the whole thing? "She'll be back" They know her a wholehelluvalot better then HE does.

So there's the latest from the land of the (for now at least) perfect weather!

Hi all! I am trying to catch up on emails. I feel like I'm so busy, but can't quite formulate what I've been up to...hmmm...well, hockey of course is taking up 50% of my time.

Oh, I know. This past Sat.,Sun, Mon, I went to Cape May, NJ with my sibs. It is beautiful there; I had never been and it was so special. The main reason we were there was to scatter my parents' ashes on Sunset Beach. As you probably recall, my dad passed on Father's Day, and my mom about 3 and a half years ago.

My brother, Larry, had possession of the ashes. He 'co-mingled' them at his home before he left for the Cape. Then, he divided them 6 ways (there are 3 boys, 3 girls in my family.) My sister's boyfriend, , played 'Always' on his sax on the beach. It was my parent's favorite song and was their wedding song. Cape May was also one of their most favorite places, so it was all fitting.

It was truly bittersweet. My older sister, Pat and I were weeping on the beach, telling one another how much we missed them. We each went onto a little spot, separately from one another so we could individually say goodbye.

I am still working on trying to get a part-time clerical/receptionist job. No nibbles yet. I did interview at a place yesterday that was looking for a p/t Physical Therapy Aide. I thought it would be good, working with people. I had a pretty good interview, I think I presented myself well, had good eye-contact and asked some good questions. Basically the guy told me that he was making up his mind today; he had 4 more interviews yesterday. If I didn't get a call, that meant I didn't have the job. I haven't heard, and it is 10:50 am, so I can only assume I didn't get it. Well, it just wasn't meant to be. Back to the drawing board as they say. I go into an office a total of 4 hours a week--2 days, 2 hours, to apply and check emails and follow-up with letters to check on the status of my various applications.

It has been good to hear from everyone. I definitely feel it when I'm not connected here. I SO need it. Ya'll are my life-line.

If I can think of anything more, I'll write. I miss you each.

love to you all, Kate
