Guest guest
Sounds Wonderful n! I think laughter was the gravy...and love, and it seems there was an abundance of both Love, Akiba So, the nephew and his brother and mother and friends all gathered at my place for the party today, 11/20/2011. We had roast chicken with stuffing (I did the chicken and the stuffing), and others brought Key Lime Pie (yet!), a fantastic fruit salad, sweet potatoes, steamed, whole-- and miscellaneous vegetables. I goofed and forgot to make the gravy! We all had a wonderful time. This apartment (with its beautiful view) was jammed, but we all managed and "the boys" all helped out a lot--for which I was very grateful. My friend, Edna (who has MS and who takes the infamous "jaunts" with me was present, and her sons, too. Thanks to my deceased cousin, Ursula Sherman, I do have a large dining table with folding leaves and lots of chairs. We each got to sit down. Young people are the joy of my life. The only persons missing were the nephew's brother's wife and baby, who were at home as the baby had appeared ill earlier in the day, but was just fine when Daddy got home! We really whooped it up. I am not sure if I can tolerate this and the coming Thanksgiving, too! Love to you all, and let us hope for kind and good relatives and wonderful friends--"the family of choice!" n
