Guest guest
Usually at the beginning of the week we make something in the crockpot that will last all week. So this week it was meatballs that we get precooked at Costco, and Marinara sauce [usually Newmans] then we simmer it all day. Adding stewed tomatoes, and mushrooms. Steve cooks separately a pot of Angel hair dreamfields pasta, and then we bag it and take out what we need for each meal. We will add green beans, or another veggie on the side. So tonight was the end of Spaghetti and meatballs. This weekend we will make Taco soup. We also will take a break during the week and have fish and chips to break up the monotony of having the same thing over and over. I’ve made my chicken baked with yams around the edges too. Yummy. Guest guest
Tonight we are going to our cousins for a family night. She will be preparing lots of stuff hard to describe, but I will try. Dolma, which is grape leaves stuffed with rice, onion and lots of spices done with olive oil. For main dish there will be lamb baked in the oven. There will be lots of entrees made with olive oil like pito beans, stuffed green peppers, loafs made with red lentils and bulghur. Its going to be fun, we will be 12 people in total. Guest guest
I always put a fried egg on top of hash...actually, I use the heat from the hash to fry it (just pop it on top of the cooked hash a few mins before you're ready to serve it, while it is still in the skillet)  I’ve made hash with diced cooked beef – why not with turkey?  Fry together diced cooked potatoes, diced cooked turkey, diced onion ( + anything else that sounds good) and then serve it with catsup.  Enjoy - Kathleen  From: Kate Rothschild Sent: Monday, December 12, 2011 9:50 AM To: MSersLife Subject: Re: What's for dinner?  Hi Kathleen, How does one prepare turkey hash?
