Jackie, thank you so much for asking (bravely, too!).Edna cannot do much, is not very mobile. She does have a manual wheelchair and a walker with a seat. She cannot managean electric wheelchair. She does have pain, but mostly from herarthritis, she tells me. She does have some peripheral neuropathy in her feet, but tells me that she does not have much pain. She walks sort of bent from the hips; I suspect that this is fromhaving to watch where her feet are. She seldom does anythingoutside the house unless I drive her to do something. As for me, I do have some pain as a result of MS, episodes ofvertigo (during which I seek treatment and do not drive), and Ihave rather severe peripheral neuropathy in my feet, ankles

andespecially in my lower left leg--kind of dulls the pain from my many joint replacements, though. I have had better medical carethan has Edna, and I am quick to act when things change.Oddly, despite the neuropathy, my feet sure know where theyare when I get behind the wheel of my car--perhaps it is thepressure, but I seem to have little trouble--though I pay carefulattention to what I am doing behind the wheel.I have had both hips and both knees replaced, and one repairsurgery to my left knee--I fell shortly after returning home fromthe surgery--back when I had a home--and had a 5th surgeryto replace the broken plastic in that joint. I also have spinal stenosis, and in the past have had other back problems, too. However, over all, I think that I have always had better medicalcare--from childhood on--and that has made a difference.Thank you for enquiring about us,

Jackie.Love and hope to you and to yours, and stay safe during theholiday season,nSubject: Re: What's for dinner? - reply from n
