“Chuck†Skinner and Lee Ann -Fewell of Red River Medical

Institute will be teaching another International Association of Critical Care

Paramedics (CCPM).

This is the second internet facilitated CCPM course taught by them. They utilize

“GotoMeetings.com.†The first internet course was very successful.

The student must be in front of the computer during class times 0800 to 0530 on

the following dates:

Thurs, Fri, and Sat 3/10-3/12/ 2011

Thurs., Fri., and Sat 3/24-3/26/ 2011

Thurs., Fri., and Sat. 4/7-9/ 2011

Cadaver Lab (Dallas) on one of these two dates: Fri. 4/22/11 or Fri. 4/29/11

The curriculum is similar to CCEMP-T. The CCPM is now 80 hours + a Cadaver Lab

in Dallas.

Tutorials are offered as needed. If you have a schedule conflict and cannot

attend one of the sessions, Chuck and Lee Ann will provide an alternative class

time.

They are extremely “student success orientedâ€.

The final exam is a computer assisted exam.

The great thing about this course is that you have more than once or twice to

take the final exam. As a matter of fact, the student has 90 days from the end

of the course to pass the final exam. The exam may be taken as many times as

needed within the 90 day period to obtain a course completion.

The CCPM certification is 4 years.

I took the CCPM course in person with them. It was a lot of information and we

definitely needed to questions answered or explained in a different manner. I

learned a lot.

Payment for Course HCESD-1 Part-time & Reserve Medics + Paramedics from Other

Services

Deposit of $100 is due by March 1. The remaining $800 is due3/9/11.

Fulltime HCESD-1 Medical Personnel may take the course @ no charge. A Tuition

Reimbursement form will be completed and received by March 1,2011.

If the HCESD-1 FT medic does not pass the course, the course fee will be paid

back to HCESD-1. The HCESD-1 course fee is $835 per medic.

HCESD-1 Part-time and Reserves shall pay the $835 course fee in the same

fashion listed above.

No required textbook for the course. The student will receive a huge Study

Guide prior to the course. If you wish to use a reference textbook, Lee Ann

will suggest several for your use.

and one of the instructors for the course.
