Guest guest
Hi Carly, There is a guy who posts sometimes from Aubrey/Wodonga way who had Dr. Young I think - his posts will be under Dasher.............. He thought he was pretty wonderful from what I remember........... The coys seem to have a pretty tight reign on good surgeons going into Resurface so I don't think you will have too much to worry about in any case. Good luck with your forthcoming surgery........ Guest guest
Hi Carly I think I'm correct in that Dr Young also operates from The Avenue in Windsor, Melbourne. An email friend from Upper Beaconsfield was operated on by him a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I cannot get hold of this person at the moment but I'm sure that was said. Guest guest
Hi Carly As a pre-surfacehippy from Perth, who is looking east for experienced surgeons, Dr Young (who actually has a hip resurface himelf!) has been highly praised by two professional squash player associates of mine (both patients of his) ... apparently it takes quite some time to see him (although you seem to have managed this hurdle). I actually spoke with one of them (49yrs with 1 total hip, 1 resurface ... the resurface was done by Dr Young) .. and in his words to resurface is " 1000% better than the THR). He also said I could not go wrong with Dr Young ... his resurface was actually done by Dr Young one day before " the good doctor " had his own hip done ... and they recovered together in the ward, aided by some good red wine! (so I'm told). All the best with your upcoming surgery .... hopefully this positive feedback is a help to you. Cheers Dianne (46yrs) A-grade Squash player Perth, WA > Hi everyone, i havent posted for ages, last time i was talking i was > asking about resurfacing and finding out all about it, desprately > wanting to get my bilateral hip dysplasia fixed...it was this group > that led me to the surgon that i wanted to see about it.
